    2008 S5 oil leak

Hey team, owned my 08 S5 for about 6 months now. Love it but have been dealing with what I think is an oil leak for a while now. Quite a lot of smoke comes out the hood/vents and appears to be coming from the rear of the engine. Took it to my local Audi Dealer here in New Zealand. They originally changed the rocker cover gaskets but the smoke was still there. Upon another inspection they said it was a leak in the upper fuel sump? And quoted me $14000 NZD to fix it. Stating it’s a 60 hour job. Havnt been able to find many posts about this and wondered what I should do ☹️ Any help or input would be greatly appreciated. Cheers

I would say probably rear main seal. I would find the best independent shop that really knows their Audis or specialize in German cars in the area and have them take a look.
