    Looking to buy b8.5 s4

Looking for your guys opinions. Currently am looking at purchasing 2014-2015 S4.

    What I want/need:
    - DSG
    - Black color
    - Black interior (leather or alcantara), or Red
    - Carbon fiber inlays
    - Sports Diff

Now iím trying to stay under 30k and as close to 20k as possible. Iíve narrowed it down to a few cars, my favorites being a 2014, clean title, 1 owner, 70k miles, APR Stage 2 DP, private party asking $21k. Other car is a 2014, clean title, 1 owner, 38k miles, all stock, dealer asking $28k. Both cars are very nice and clean, well documented and clean carfax. Now these two seem to be the ends of my price range. Mostly everything in between that matches my criteria has been many owners, damage reported carfax, and all around just not clean.

Now if you had to choose between both ends of the spectrum what would you choose and why?

I would go with #2, less miles, stock. You mod it like you want, and you still have warranty on it. So you can drive 6 months, making sure its not a lemon, and then mod the shit out of it. You pay more, but you resell it for more, so cost wouldn't be a factor for me.
S4 B8.5 no track, just enjoying spirited driving.

Iíll be the 3rd vote on the lower mileage stock car. You get another 3-4 years of driving before you hit the mileage of the first example, as well as knowing the car was stock before you mod it.

If you can afford $28k, absolutely that one. No brainer.

Iím in the midst of shopping for one myself. I wouldnít even consider the modded model with 70k as an option.

    Looking to buy b8.5 s4

buy 70k stage 2 way better

just kidding, but 28k for stock absolutely no way.
better have every single option, seats, blind spot assist, adaptive cruise control, memory, etc etc. if even one option is missing then forget it.

Car #2 for sure you don't want to buy another persons problem, $28k is a little high for a 2014 even with the low 38k miles though! (Black color, YUK hardest color to keep clean and Hot in summer! Looks great though).

This post is interesting. Everyone suggest buying the stock S4, but it seems like the majority wants to mod or tune their cars. But you don't want to buy a car that someone else tuned since you don't know how it was driven? Other reasons?

No one likes sloppy seconds. Someone that mods their car is more likely to beat on the car.
