    Who knows

So have a stage 3 b5 s4. Most everything under the hood is new. Thing has been smooth and solid for a while, guess this was due.
Sunday driving home 1.5 ride and voltage dies to the point car dies. Road side assistance tried to help jump but no dice. Get towed home.
I had replaced the alternator 2 weeks before with a reman unit so assumed that was bad, but after swapping in a new battery, jumping, and still no start I started looking at starter. Hit the starter with 12v direct and nothing so ordered a new Bosch. Put in new starter and alternator has battery charged over night but car will not crank.
Tried to push/pop start and still will not fire.
I have checked all fuses multiple times, relays seem to be working correctly, and all ground connections are tight and show no problems.
I also got a new ignition switch tonight but that's not doing anything different.
So no crank, no start, no push start. No codes.
Icm delete r8 coils, new plugs, new cps and cts during summer. Motor is not seized, both belts attached and in good condition. Swapped in spare ECU to check.
    Any ideas? Thanks

I have several times. Read somewhere to touch terminals together separate if battery and turn/hold key for 30secs. After that car started but died after due to fuel cut. I then bypassed the fuel pump relay and it started and stayed on. But relay back in and so far so good. Seems something was glitched in system, haven't been able to find anything else wrong

Weird. Glad you got it sorted. I don't know of any "glitch" that would cause it not to even crank.

Engine block ground to passenger frame rail. When it fails, all the symptoms you described happen. Sometimes the wire corrodes internally, so even if itís tight, it will still have too high of a resistance.
