    disconnect rear wheel drive????

We have a 2000 Audi TT and we are converting it to electric drive. We want to disconnect the rear wheel drive and take out the rear differential to save weight.

Here is my question: if we lock the flange coming out of the front gearbox, will the front wheels take all the power? Or will the front differential try to put power onto the flange instead of the front wheels? If locking the output flange isn't the right move, is there some other place inside the front differential that we can lock to achieve front wheel drive?

Thanks for your inputKodi TutuApp AppValley
