I looked at the WDR site yesterday to order bi-pipes and the products page was gone. Sorry for those who lost money. I hope someone picks up the custom B5 fabrication work.

35% is better than 0%. It certainly sucks, but if they file bankruptcy no one gets anything.

bankrupcy or not, if it's a limited liability company you're generally limited to business funds only, and from the sound he probably spent the money. You could challenge the valuation depending on personal withdrawals this could be recalled through courts. The reality is, even if that value is inaccurate and the business owes you more, well, you can't get blood from a stone if he doesn't have the money. Bankruptcy would depend on what chapter they filed and whether or not the business activity was protected by the corporate veil. There is an ordering proceedure for payouts, and it most certainly isn't zero to everyone.

bottom line: in something this small, it's probably not worth addressing the valuation, especially if it wasn't operated as a deliberate scam where he was withdrawing company funds for personal use and claiming there is no money left in the business.

True, but based on everything that has come to light it seems like this was exactly what was happening. The part I find damning is that WDR was taking people's money for orders/deposits right up until the end when it appears it was clear the business was done a few months prior to it coming out publicly.

    Sad situation all around.

The guy took for sure ppls money in the end for own winning.
There was a discussion about him closing a while back. Some ppl speculated he was closing down and some,he wasn’t taking orders to be able to catch up with orders.
At that time he posted pics on Insta and i asked him directly about this. He said it was all bull and those that speculated had never ordered anything from him.
He was going on strong according to him.
Day after my question was delited.
    This was several months back.

So, what now? He,s just gone? No lawsuits? No ppl chasing him?

What strikes me, this seems to happen way to often on your market. Vendors taking money, not delivering, or deliver late or wrong, nonchalant vendor behavior, insults.

yeah christian, I gathered that to be a possibility. At some point he probably gave up, and many people would do this even if they didn't intend to at the outset.

I'm not a bankrupcy specialist at all, that was just what I knew from test questions a decade ago. I also remember though that customer deposits own a bit of a priviledged status in debt ordering.

My math was rent + employees + incidentals exceeded profit on those he delivered (especially with some minimum allocation for his own labor) might lead you to owe customers more than you have. 30% sounds a bit low, but possible; especially if he's had some legal costs already. As far as getting it though, unless there's a class action, it's hard to imagine $500 worth chasing it.

not sure the ordering, you'd want a lawyer. But as far as I understand the process:

Basically you can small claims and you'd win a settlement against the llc for the amount. If it has the money it has to pay you. Now if it doesn't have the money, you get into discovery of books and records, prove personal withdrawals on his account, and then get a levy against his personal record. At that point collection may prove impossible, or not, depending on his personal financials.

And mocke, you're right. Although we do mostly hear about the bad ones on here. Even still, many customers still order from the bad ones even after the story's broke. I mean anyone ordering from this guy for the last year basically, they were sticking their head in aligator's mouth.

Exactly. Everyone kind of knew it was about to blow up but still took a chance and it doesn’t help that there are always ppl defending those vendors even if point against proven many times by diff ppl.

I already shared how it went for me in a different thread but not too long ago he assured me I'd have my order like a week after the deadline for a PayPal dispute. Once I filed the dispute he said he couldn't complete the order and refunded me....

Craig shipped mine 11/5/18, got to be close to last one made I’m thinking. Just wonder how he decided which orders he would fulfill and ship near the end.
