Verify PCV software revision w/ VCDS

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
So, the dealer I took the A6 to said they updated the PCV software per TSB 2030197. However, when I went to get the car they tried to get me for some BS about uneven tire wear and alignment, when I had literally just driven it from an alignment shop with brand new tires. Kind of takes the trust out of the whole equation. Is VCDS capable of checking the software revision for the PCV controls? Where would that be located? This is probably more in depth than most may get, but I'm hoping someone has tried it.

    Thanks

    Dealership are scammers

They had me wait 2 hours for a fucking tire patch

They also fucked around my lights and stuff, just a bunch of random shit

Makes me wonder if they unscrewed some bolts while they were at it

Thanks for posting this! I need to get my software flashed because the new PCV I installed has caused an increase in oil consumption.

Np. Just wish the dealer I went to wasn't so sleazy. They're contesting it at the moment, but if they persist I'll bring in AoA or start mentioning that charging someone for work and not performing it is fraud.

If you want the full TSB, I have a copy of it via email, but that snippet is the entire software part.

Update, apparently there is a more recent TSB that keeps the 'A' designation software but updates it to an 0080 revision. Snip attached.262465_TSB.PNG

Why they initially decided that I didn't need to know this, I have no idea.
