    Drilled Brake Rotors

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I am looking for set of drilled brake rotors for my S4 thinking it would look/perform well with our oem calipers. The only company I have seen is the ECS labeled rotors. Does anyone else know of other options or have the same interest in going to a drilled rotor?

    Hey Mason,

I was just chatting with Stoptech this week. They currently only offer rear rotors options. I told them we really need a front drilled / slotted option. The S4/S5 finally has a nice caliper, so very few will go BBK. They said they've hardly seen any demand. Maybe this thread will grow, and I'll share it with Stoptech. I guarantee these would sell VERY well.

Honestly, the only things the B9s need are some good two piece rotors (front and rear) and your choice of brake pads. I think ECS's is a strong offering but more choices are always better.

I completely agree the calipers are awesome. Let's get some +1s to comment and get StopTech designing some front drilled rotors!

Might be a dumb question but why are they making a rear one before a front one anyway? No one ever upgrades the back brakes first or says "yeah could deal with some rear drilled/slotted rotors but f it on the fronts".... I assume the rear rotor fits other platforms besides the B9?

Exactly that. Iíd bet itís the same rear from a B8 S car or maybe C7 6/7 rear.

wouldn't mind a one-piece slotted/drilled option just for aesthetics-only as I won't be pushing this car anywhere near levels where a two-piece is beneficial.

Similar here. I would strongly consider an "affordable" option mainly for aesthetics.

I am in for this. For aesthetics yes but mostly for weight saving if possible... Because drag racing!

The pricing is very good. I've personally run ST sport rotors, and have sold a TON. List pricing would be around $675 for all (4). I would think $600 shipped would be no problem.

Awesome pricing! Do you know how much they should weight compared to stocks?

Two-piece weight savings! Had two-piece slotted rotors on all 4 corners of my R32 from Racing Brake. It made a difference in how the suspension worked and handling was much different.

For what it's worth, I would be happy to give my money to Stoptech for drilled rotors.

Yah, I've had a number of inquiries for a front drilled/slotted option. Would certainly be a good seller if available.

Mops, count me in for a full set of Stoptech rotors (front/rear). I was right at the edge of being out of spec 5k miles ago, and would love to go the Stoptech route.
