How about you guys stop trying to make drama where it doesn't exist and realize that we're all big boys here and that JHM is free to do as they choose with respect to my offers of assistance.

Quite frankly, I've just enjoyed actually having some friendly exchanges with them instead of the usual useless drama that goes on around here.

Cool story bro.... Cool story.... your comment about who's adding drama is a nice touch, beyond even hipster ironic actually.

But like I said, I'm just too tired for the drama thing, I'll pass the torch to those who want keep it alive...

Have fun, myself, I'm gonna put my hand where I want it (down my pants) and go do something more productive than this conversation and go watch porno, cheers

Youíre such a drama queen, you really are.

You havenít commented on sticking your hand where it doesnít belong. Probably because you know your out of line. You keep falling back onto everyone calling you out which in your mind is distracting everyone from your BULLSHIT. Go run your car THEN, MAYBE youíll get some respect. Otherwise youíre a complete clown.

So youíll probably respond to this with some BS saying youíre being attached and to you need a room to cry in and jhm is friend now and Iím out to get you like the rest of the world.

I formally invite you to bring your car to NE Dragway. Iíll meet you there and pay for your entrance fee.

You just go about this the wrong way man. If you didnít jump to conclusion and really read what other members say then maybe, just maybe youl understand why people give you shit. At least youíre not pulling a Mario.... you got that going for you at least.

What it doesnít show is the lumpy idle, over rich mixture-black smoke coming out of the exhaust and misfiring.

look at block 032 for fuel trims stored. Then screenshot it.

Also did you check ECU2? (Engine-II in VCDS)

Engine-I is for one ecu and II is for the other.

Iconic, we need actual logs, and block 32 fuel trims, not codes so we can properly assess this.

He would actually have to drive it a bit for the ECUs to generate a long term fuel trim value in MVB channel 32. Channel 33 is the short term fuel trim and sensor voltages though.

I have read thru this thread and am just baffled why people are so worried about the side intake manifold flaps failing. If it is that big of a concern then get a replacement intake manifold with new side flaps and go drive the car. The car has sat long enough that I would just want to drive it! Those side flaps help with cold startup and as a performance increase at very low rpms from causing the intake air to tumble.

The throttle body code could be from not being driven for so long and having a dead battery that wasn't strong enough to run the basic settings channel 60 adaptation with the ignition on/engine off. I have seen that with my B6 S4 and multiple other Audis. The misfires codes are going to happen at cold start up without the side intake manifold flaps just like on any other Bosch managed ECU FSI engine (2.0T FSI, other 4.2 FSI, or 5.2 FSI)

Flash the stock file on in the mean time and see how it runs. Just keep it below 3K RPM

Stock file isn't going to like the larger injectors....

Supercharged car will run and put around on the stock file. If the issue continues then the problem is elsewhere.

FYI the APR 1740 SC cars will misfire the entire time thru the cold startup procedure since it doesn't have the side intake manifold flaps. APR just turned the sensitivity down so that it doesn't throw a code most of the time. Will smoke too depending on the health of the engine, fuel system flow quality, and if there are still catalytic converters. Not trying to bash oddly enough but I have a few local guys with that kit and they have issues. Usually with more intrusive maintenance it can be better though.

His car should still be using the stock RS4 fuel injectors. The S4 cars change the fuel injectors.

I agree as long as he stays below 3K rpms and thus out of boost it would be ok for diagnosis. It still would be better imo to just put the side intake manifold flaps back in or replace the intake manifold with a new one if he is concerned with the old one failing.

Oh duh brain fart, was thinking S4.

Car has the DW300 in tank pump as supplied by JHM and also their HPFPís. Injectors are stock and original.

Car ran ok(it idled) before we deflapped it but was still super rich.

Returning the IM back to stock would defeat the object and money that was spent! Plus getting another IM in this part of the world is super expensive. $3k+

Jake can you email me the server and login details etc. Itís been so long now since we flashed it, I canít find that email.

Thanks for all your guys help so far.
