Ride height increase after new tires ???

I recently changed tires on my 2017 Audi A4 with sport suspension. After picking up the car it was noticeably higher. Higher off the ground, higher off the top of the tire. The tire diameter is exactly the same as the tires I replaced. Tire size is the same.

Is there anything the shop could have done to the suspension to make it sit up a half inch higher? They say they didn’t change anything. I know for a fact it is sitting higher and has more wheel gap now. Thanks.

    V strange.....

all four corners now have a greater gap?

you say tires are the same size..... are they the same brand & model?

there will be variation from brand-to-brand & model-to-model.... even when they are labeled the same....

Same size tires. Different brand. I went from OEM to Michelin AS3+. The ride height change has the car clearing the ground more and clearing the tops of the tires more. The top of the wheel well is at 27.25”. It should be below 27”.

look under the 'specs' for your tyre size in the "Overall Diameter" column .
then compare to the spec for the OEM...

It has settled about 1/8”. I had it checked again and there doesn’t seem to be anything out of wack. The new tires are adding some height with the new treads. I pick up on minor changes like that pretty easily and it drives me crazy. Most people probably wouldn’t even notice a difference.
