B7 S4 Satellite Radio Issue - Stations "Loading"

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I have random issues being able to listen to Satellite radio in my 2005.5 B7 S4 (Stock MMI head unit). After the car sits overnight in my garage, stations will play without issue. But after I turn the car off and then back on, the stations won't play and it says LOADING next to each one. Tried switching source, turning head unit off and on, turning car off and on, but nothing changes. Any ideas?

It honestly sounds like a bad tuner. Or maybe an incorrect tuner. Has this always happend? Usually antenna issues say antenna.

I bought the car in May, and it's done it since I bought it, have no idea how long it's had this issue before I bought it. I guess my original post was not completely accurate, it's not a random issue, satellite consistently only works after sitting overnight, and then works for as long as I drive as long as I don't turn off the car. I would think if there is a physical issue with say the antenna, it would randomly be going in and out while driving. Regular AM/FM radio works fine all the time, and so does the navigation.

What is your vin number? I can look up the original part number that is needed. Sometimes people but a tuner off Ebay that does not match the car.

According to the vin you sent me this should be the tuner that came with your car 8E0 057 593 E. If that is the tuner you have I would guess that it is defective.
