    no cold start warm up

    i had to reset the ecu to make the car cold start. this happens when i use a/c twice or more then the next day. 1st start idle straight to 920rpm.and when i have cold start my usual idle is 800rpm but when i dont above 800rpm no check engine light or wat so ever see pic http://tinypic.com/r/2aadmah/9

    What is the outside temp when it doesn’t do the cold start routine? The car doesn’t do the cold start routine below a certain temp. Usually somewhere in the 30-40F range and below it won’t.

    I find that so strange, middle of summer i'll get the high idle 1250rpm for 60-80 seconds, dead of winter fires up idles right at 800.

    It’s actually by design. Cold oil is thick and raising the idle for the sake of emissions causes undue wear on the engine.
