2016 Audi A4 19N4 Recall $2000 Owner Appreciation Incentive Denied By Audi BeverlyHil

One of my Audi's was coming up on lease in early December 2018. I started doing some research on getting a new ride- focusing on the 2018 Q5.

With the aid of TrueCar, Edmunds forums, started looking at good deals on Premium Plus Tech or Summer of Audi package with incentives. Season of Audi $750, Audi Loyalty $1000. Discovered Audi Customer Outreach Program for 19N4 recall for $2000 (not combinable with Loyalty).

Audi Pacific in Torrance was our first stop- they opened with a solid offer (including the $750 + $2000 incentives), but since it was the 1st day and they didn't have the exact color combination in stick- I did a little internet outreach to Audi Santa Monica, Circle Audi, and Audi Beverly Hills. SM and Circle were not really in the discussion since Pacific had made a good starting offer.

Audi BH however did engage and we started discussions online. They said that if we came down in person they would make it worth our while. We got the exact color combination and they got a very good number- however, they would only give us $1750 incentives. They said that the 19N4 recall incentive on the 2016 A4 expired on October 31, 2018. I pulled the trigger but this was the only thing that kind of left soured the experience a little.

[The sales manager on duty at Audi BH stated he knows the one of the managers at Pacific and called him on the phone to point out the mistake- he said that at Pacific they would NOT give that initial offer sheet they were not aware that AoA made that update. My fault for not verifying that.]

All the Fletcher Jones Audi websites in CA clearly state from August 3 - November 30, 2018:

    https://www.audibeverlyhills.com/aud...y-programs.htm. (August 3 - November 30, 2018)
    https://www.audifletcherjones.com/au...y-programs.htm (August 3 - November 30, 2018)
    https://www.audifremont.com/audi-own...y-programs.htm (Sept 4th - November 30, 2018)

They stated that there was an update from Audi of America, effective November 1. I reached out to AoA and they started discussions to investigate the descrepancies- the sales manager at Audi BH stated that AoA came out with guidelines on Nov 1 that only 74D5 recalls were getting $2000 incentive.

It's very unclear since other non-Fletcher Jones Audi websites state that it is for all 3 active Audi recalls for MY 2013- later: https://www.audisandiego.com/audi-lo...-san-diego.htm

Has anyone come across this issue and have a good outcome? $1000 is not that big of a deal, but it's more the principle that if I'm eligible for it- I should have received it.

the Customer outreach has been on a month to month basis at this point. Looks like it was an oversight based on when your time of purchase would land not knowing what programs would be in effect for November. But at any rate it is good til the 30th of this month with validation from the recall/campaign print out listing your VIN as eligible.

Interesting enough- both the Audi BH sales manager and AoA rep called over the weekend (since Audi of America reached out to him) and stated that I was indeed NOT eligible for 19N4 $2000 incentive.

I had sent both my VIN on 2016 A4 to AoA stating that it was 19N4 recall and that all of the Fletcher Jones Audi websites was printed it was in effect until November 30. The AoA representative was confused as well when he saw it with his own eyes. He said that he would discuss with Audi BH and then get back to me.

The Audi BH sales manager asked where it was on the website and sent their webmaster a message to update it- as it now states only 74D5 is eligible.

Although I'm doubtful that their "mistake/oversight" will yield the other $1000- we shall see.

That's very interesting. Unless their region changed something. I am on the other side of the country than you but can't imagine that would be cause.
