Question Where do you put your cell phone?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
(I believe the A6/S6 is the same as 7s)

The front compartment in the center console is a little too big for my S9 (the phone falls and is hidden); the cupholder is a little too tight (though it's default). So what mounting solutions is everyone using? I'd prefer no magnetic mounts, and not interested in wired charger mounts.

    Thanks!

I plug mine in using the center storage console and get it out of sight and out of mind.
The last thing I want to deal with when driving is the distraction of a phone.

I throw mine in the front compartment, usually sitting upright (it falls over though). It's not an S9 though, so it does actually fit.

I use the Proclip mount. It stays put, even with a hard Stage 1 launch. It will run about $70 with the mount and cell phone holder, but it's worth it.

I attached mine on the passenger side. Had one in my S4 that worked perfectly and I’m 100% happy with the one in my S6.

I use 3M molding tape, since it's meant to deal with heat. A couple of things I've learned. I run the tape perpendicular to the direction that gravity pulls. Plus, the back of the mount adapter that I 3D printed (pictures are of a previous version) butts up against the plastic, so I tape the bottom of the adapter, along with the back of it, which keeps it from pulling up and falling off.

This is a magnetic, wireless charger. I have the metal ring in between the case and the phone.

I used some toolbox foam to make organizers for my center console upper/lower sections. I keep the pictured items in the top section, and in the lower section, I installed a Qi charging pad with the foam, so that I can simply set my phone into the designated spot. This allows it to charge, and the foam holds it in place to keep anything from sliding around. Works perfectly.

I put mine in front of my shifter. Horizontally of course so it doesn’t get in the way of shifting.

Scosche Magic Mount fits nicely in driver's side air vent, just to the left of the MMI screen. Works perfectly.

That’s great! Looks super slick and you are probably like me wanting everything organized and neat!

What is the foam. Took box foam? Home Depot? Did you. We’d to take them down or do they stay in place bc of the fit? Cut it with a razor blade?

What Qi Charger did you get? I only see the white “my charger” Qi certified pad at Best Buy

Used toolbox foam from Amazon. Cut with a razor blade. I might try to 3D print something next, since the result may be more precise, but this works well for now.

The Qi charging pad was also from Amazon - FASTPAD Ultra-Slim is the name.
