    S7 Rebuild questions

Hey guys, wondering if you guys can shed some light, I was possible thinking of doing a salvage s7 rebuild and I was wondering if anyone knows about how accessible getting body panels are for a 16 s7. Also does the s7 share most parts with the a7? I've been doing some small research on it and I'm just looking to figure out how much i may be in for or even if it's worth it. Thanks guys

Body-wise, the S7 would share many parts with an A7, and much more so an S-Line A7. You can buy parts new online (e.g., audiusaparts.com or others), used parts on eBay or some other sellers, or try to search for some other wrecks to build a complete car from (and sell the rest).

It won't be cheap, but should not cost nearly as much as buying a clean S7. Btw, watch out for the turbo oil screens--you may want to remove them if you are doing work, as sooner or later you'll fry your turbos.

What's damaged? I'd hard pass on roof damage or rear quarter panels.

I've just been looking through salvage titles cars to maybe do a project car this year, I finally have some time to work on a car like I've always wanted and I figured I'd do some research but what I've seen mostly is front end damage not much roof damage or anything like that.

I'd just do yourself a favor and steer clear of replacing rear quarters as well. It's roughly estimated around 25 hours each to replace a rear quarter panel if you know what you're doing, which usually isn't the case for the 1st one.
