    01V Tiptronic 5-Speed to 01E 6-Speed Swap Parts List

Trying to compile a parts list w/ OE part numbers as well as document the whole thing, seen plenty of 0A3 swap threads and 5 speed manual to 6 speed swaps, but none for this exact swap despite it seeming to be the most desirable/common. If you know of any feel free to link them. Tons of convoluted threads which lots of conflicting information, and I'm just trying to make this as straightforward as possible and applicable to as many people as possible.

Here's the list so far, let me know what I'm missing. Hopefully some of you who have done this swap can chime in.

    My specs: 2005 1.8T, 01V Tiptronic - Final Drive 3.091:1 I think?

01E Trans (from a 3.0L, FYF, GBE, GJV)
    Prop Shaft
    Clutch/brake pedals
Clutch slave cylinder 8E0721257M (up to VIN 8E-4-270000, split 2004) or 8E0721257P (From VIN 8E-4-270001) Which one of the two? what does it depend on?
    Clutch master cylinder 8E1721401AJ
    Clutch fork 012141751C
Clutch kit, 1.8t specific? will the throw out bearing from a 1.8t kit work as well or does it have to be a 3.0L 01E specific one? Any recommendations from anyone running a 400+ chp setup?
    Downpipe 8E0253301DS
    Crossmember 8E0399263BH
    Mount 8E0399105HR
    Front Right Axle 8E0407452AXKT
    Front Left Axle 8E0407451AXKT
43mm pilot bearing - anyone have a source?
Assuming it has a 3.091 final drive, and the 01E has a 4.11:
Rear Axles - Same as the 1.8t ones?
Rear Diff - 1.8t auto diff usable? or 3.0l one needed?
I've seen both referenced, but I also read that the final drive needs to match the trans. 4.11 vs 3.09

As far as I've ever heard there were only 2 rear diff ratios ever used, 3.89 and 4.11. somebody correct me if I'm wrong.

The tiptronic should have a rear ratio of 4.11. If that's what your 01E has the diff from the 1.8 will be fine. The codes for your 01E show it as a 4.11 box, so you should be set.

Are you going to drill the crankshaft or are you swapping crankshafts for your pilot bearing?

This works for the 01E? Not just the 5 speeds?

Also, does anyone know anything about this? I didnít think there would be any subframe interference

The above adapter is made for Tiptronic crankshafts being converted to a manual transmission; this includes 01A, 01E, 02X etc.

The LH 01A trans bracket shown above is applicable to B5ís using their existing Tiptronic subframe when doing an auto to manual conversion, and luckily is not something you need for your B6.

You are correct. The quoted post for the adapter and 01A bracket is in the B5 classifieds.

The adapter itself works on the longitudinal 1.8t Tiptronic equipped platforms (B5,B6 VW/Audi) using the 1.8T engines originally mated to the Tiptronic.
