    Good afternoon all,
I know that Dawn is usually a no no to use as a car wash. Strips off polish and wax. Is it OK to use on a car with a cq reserve ceramic coating. Dawn does a great job of cleaning and I doubt it would affect the ceramic.
    Let me know please.
    Thnx

I still would not use it

It is not good for the trim either.

Personally I like car pro reset for a ceramic coating specific soap

    Stick with Reset.

The problem with using strong detergents like Dawn on your car is mot only are they have a very high alkalinity that will over time greatly impact even a coating, it will strip off wax/polymer protectants on plastics and rubber seals leading to them drying out and greying prematurely.

No. Having a ceramic coating does not mean that you can use any soap you would like. If you use the wrong soap you can prematurely wear the coating away. For ceramic coatings stick with the soaps and cleaning products (bug, tar, wheel cleaners etc) that clearly state coating safe, or that they state PH neutral. Companies that make their own coatings (like Gtechniq for example) tend to make products that are coating safe. I personally use Gtechniq's G-wash. Best soap I have used and it is coating safe.
