    Ceramic coating on wheels queston

Long story short I have a set of used rims and I am debating on selling them and getting a brand new set of different ones.

I ceramic coated the face of the used ones. I did not do the barrel yet, I still need to clean the left over adhesive from the wheel weights.

Regardless if I clean the used ones or get new ones, if I ceramic coat the inside of the barrel, will the tire shop have issues getting the stick-on wheel weights to stick to the wheel?

That's a really good question that I'd never thought about.

I had some new wheels coated with ceramic pro before they were ever mounted and I haven't had any issues. I had the wheels off to bleed brakes a couple weeks ago and all the weights were still present. This is the second season that I've run the wheels. It seems as though the weights stick just fine, but I totally get why you're asking the question.

I had my new wheels ceramic coated before mounting tires. That was three years ago and have had no issues with weights staying in place. Also had the stock wheels done around the same time and no issues with those either. Car is driven daily as well.

depends on the product. GYEON RIM and some others that are very good will weaken the ability of the weights to stick. Just have them use a small amount of polish before mounting the weights.
