    Hey guys,

Is there any big brake option that can be used with 18" wheels? I do track 2~3 times a year.

Most BBK's will work with some 18 inch wheels. Neuspeed and BBS both have great clearance at the back of the spokes to allow you to run most 380mm BBK's. I am going to be installing the 390mm stasis kit and I anticipate being able to find an 18in to work with it. Just get a hold of the template for the brake kit you want and compare it to your current 18in wheel setup.

Thanks for your input. I have two 18" wheel set up(track and winter) so I need the brakes that fit most 18" wheels. I don't mind to use some spacers. What is the best option(inexpensive) for this?

That's what I'm considering. So to run the Q5/Macan calipers, what hardware do I need other than the new pads? Currently I have two piece floating rotors and steel braided lines for my stock calipers. Can I reuse them?

Yes the q5/macon setup mates to stock rotor sizes. If you go this route though it begs the question of what you need the brake upgrade for. You will not get increased thermal capacity with the q5 setup. If you're overwhelminge the system now you might need a 380mm setup. You can go cheap with a8/sq5 calipers or moderate with the st st60

Good point. Actually the thermal capacity is the main reason for upgrading. I cooked the track pads and stock calipers at the track event. Should I really go with 380mm?

Thats the next most common. The other option is a 356mm a6/a7 setup but id go 380mm so you dont have to worry. The stoptech 355mm was made for the a4. Even though its bigger in overall diameter it has no more thermal capacity than the stock s4 brakes bc of the width of pad contact area is less on the stoptech. The 380mm is the one to get or oddballs like the old stasis 370mm or whatever

The 380mm Stoptech kit comes with 34 or 35mm thick rotors. Quite effective for our portly cars IMO.
