    B6 S4 clutch problem

I have a Jhm lightweight flying and clutch kit on my b6. When I start the car in neutral it won’t go into gear and if I start the car in gear with the clutch pressed in it moves forward. Also the clutch pedal feels 100% normal. What do you guys think? Mechanical problem? Hydraulic problem? Thanks!

Your clutch is not disengaging from your flying. Maybe the clutch lining is breaking up . Have you bled your clutch hydraulics?

Your clutch may be fused to the flywheel. Try starting the car in 3rd gear and see if it breaks free. Make sure you are not going to run into anything when you do this.

I have not tried bleeding the clutch yet, it’s just weird that the pedal feels normal.

    Does this happen occasionally?

I have had it happen twice. Both times after spirited launches.

Sounds like your self adjusting clutch mechanism adjusted all the way. Had a very similar situation with my JHM stage 4 clutch/pressure plate.

How do you fix it? New clutch?

I was told you could reset the mechanism. The problem is you need to drop the transmission, but you wouldn’t need a new clutch. You might be able to get just a non self adjusting pressure plate from JHM if you want to avoid this entirely in the future.
