    APR Stage 1 tune file

    Hey AZ,

I have been running S1 for a little while now and love it with Milltek exhaust it has transformed this car totally.
I bought a Dongle and just got a chance to get it connected today and noticed that the only file I have is 93 while I don't plan on running higher octane. I thought I read that it would allow me to return it to the stock tune as well for emissions testing. Did my local dealer short change me or am I not understanding what the dongle does?

    Thanks

As for the file, my car can store 4 files. I can use the dongle to switch file, but it is not flash back to stock.
Even though I could use the dongle to choose stock file. With APR, could only flash back to stock at APR dealer.

You have to pay extra for tune switching. $150 more, or something around that.

You can pass smog with stage 1 installed. You'll only have issues with stage 2 exhaust modifications (catless down pipe)

I was unaware of the charge for tune switching. Thanks for the responses.
I have Milltek turbo back which is like APR downpipes so I need to go stage 2 to eliminate the CEL.

Only partially true. Some tunes come with program switching for the base price as far as I’ve been told by my shop. Pretty sure the RS7 stage 1 tune comes with program switching by default (and it should for $3000).

Hah. Just realized this is not the A3/S3/RS3 forum. The app has fooled me again.

I have an S6 and it's included on that model too. I had to check the site to confirm.

They added the other octanes today. No charge. I would have had an issue with it if they would have tried.
