Yes the BMC filter is intended to replace the stock one. It def adds airflow since it is not a paper element like the OEM unit. It does add sound too!
Sorry, also to clarify. I'd also be able to retain the stock tuning and still benefit from increased airflow as well as increased sound? Would the supercharger whine be overwhelming with this method?

No worries. Yes stock tuning is fine! The ECU will adapt to the change in the amount of air, not a huge change I would assume either. The sound is perfect for me not overwhelming in the slightest.

I've just picked up the BMC filter, do you think the 034 Tube would also work, versus the AWE?

No reason why it should. Almost all the intake tubes are built the same. I chose the AWE one because to me it seemed the "cleanest". No bright white lettering or gaudy logos. Very OEM+

I have the fuse in I am sure it adds a bit of sound I have the soundakator in dynamic mode too so even with that still super mellow and not obnoxious.

Haha typo. I meant "Tubing" to the filter. So just to confirm, there's an increase in engine sound as well as an increase in the volume of the charger whine.. Just not overwhelming like roc euro etc

Ride Height Final Tweaks & Alignment

    Small update**

I let the coilover's settle for about two weeks. I wanted the car just a touch lower so I went ahead and spun down front and back by about 1/4 inch. Currently I am sitting at just under 26 inches FTG in the front and just under 26.5 inches FTG in the rear. This should be the final height I think. I am super happy with how it rides and I am not rubbing or scrapping on anything. I also am happy I went with coilover's vs springs for this exact reason, that perfect adjust-ability.

I had the alignment done to a "street performance" spec here at a local shop called Achtuning. The brought the toe in from factory spec which will allow the tires to wear normally. The car feels great on the highway now too much better then stock. I would get a bit of wander on the factory alignment specs. Everything is perfect now!

Some more euro goodies incoming soon.

Price of coilovers I cannot share openly. Contact @mops@nemesis. He has the best price on these and can get a set while everywhere else theyre backordered. Install we talked about, roughly $700 at achtuning then $130 I believe for the alignment. Searching for some new wheels maybe run some spacers until then.

Thanks for the update. Wheels will have to wait a bit anyway so helps me. Closing on a house here within the month so gonna be a bit hectic!

guhhh... liking the progress and that height man! making me fomo with the under seat storage and ride height. i’ve been holding out on going to coilovers, mostly because the roads aren’t great here in new england, and i’m somewhat enjoying the drama free ride height.

i had my b7 on coilovers, and wasn’t that low either, and every so often my bottom exhaust retainer would pet bumps and slice snow chunks.

Thank you, PSS10's are amazing! I would recommend them to anyone worried about ride comfort and height adjust ability.

Funny thing is when I was on coilovers with my B7 too I would scrape everywhere. Idk if it was due to being on stock 17's or what but it was a pain. Not one scrape currently with the S4.

Like your build approach. What is BMC part # for the air filter you used? I am modding my stock airbox with a 2 3/8" hole drilled in the bottom and the 034 Silicone tube. thx

Euro Auto-Fold Mirrors & Euro RS4 Door Pulls

Been eyeing these two things for a while now. I was able to get a good deal on both items shipped out to me from over seas. Feel free to send a PM if you are interested and I will forward you the gentlemen's info.

    So to get started.

I got the full auto folding mirror kit, that includes

2x Mirror base's W/Lane assist, auto dimming, memory for both sides
1x New door handle to accommodate new switch
    1x Chrome mirror switch
    1x Folding mirror switch template
    1x Door card clip

Install was pretty straight forward! I will say the hardest bit is removing the belt line trim along the door card to get to the two torx screws behind there. I damaged 3/4 of my door card slightly, every so slightly lol contemplating replacing those but we will see how crazy it makes me lol. Alot of the struggle I would say is attributed to the carbon trim. As you know Carbon is very wonky to work with, it does not have alot of give so you need to leverage the door card in order to get a trim piece behind there. That is how I damaged the cards. I am almost certain this task would be alot easier with the other trims available for our cars.

After you removed the trim its smooth sailing. Take off the face of the interior door handle and reveal two more torx screws. The rest is self explanatory, even the infamous clips which Audi sends an extra with in the kit was child's play.

I struggled a bit with swapping the RS4 pulls into my US housings in order to retain the lock and unlock switches but it was made easier with the guidance of @jettagetupandgo. The guy is a true resource on this forum shout out to him.

Not surprisingly the RS4 pulls are made out of actual metal while our US ones are plastic lol. The RS4 pulls are also significantly heavier. Very pleasant and expensive feeling when opening the doors now.

Enjoy the photo's below I tried to take as many as possible but it gets hard as you dig into it. Happy to answer any questions you guys have!

Following up on our HRE talk. Here are the previews of the new Flow Forms. FF11's got my eye.
Ahhhh thank you for the updates. Those do look like they have some potential!

What wheel cleaners are you using for the wheels? Just picked up my 2016 this weekend and those stock pads are dusting them insanely. About to purchase the foam cannon soap from Adams and I saw the soap from them in your pic but didn’t know what else was there.

Very nice mod AKO! I'm curious, what did you damage? Was it while removing the CF trim on the door first?

I used Adams wheel cleaner with a assortment of different brushes to get into the barrel and such. I think the agitation combined with washing the car almost once a week keeps the wheels looking the best. Its all about the up keep! Let me know if you are interested in the tools I use, Ill compile a few links.

So the damage..... Most will call me crazy but I purchased a new airbag over small dent in the Audi rings on my old. So you could say I am crazy lol. The damage is on the door card, trying my best not to crack the carbon trim as it retails about $300 a piece from Audi. I put a little too much pressure on the door card it self and it sort of split or cracked I guess is a good way of describing it. It is weird the door card itself seems firm but it is not very durable. I will let the photos below show the damage see if you can even spot it without me pointing to it. I think this is more so an issue with cars with Carbon trim as it so rigid not a lot of give in it. I will allow others to chime too. Maybe I also was unlucky who knows.

Let me know how crazy you think i am in thinking about ordering three new door cards from Audi at $700 a piece.
