    Euro Sun Visors

Euro sunvisors arrived today. Grabbed these over on Ebay.de, thanks to @jettagetupandgo for pointing out a few things in terms of ordering. Always helps whenever I have some questions. He too loves the small euro mods

Pretty straight forward the euro versions dont have airbag labels and add a small strap for papers. Very clean! Install is easy 5 mins at most.

    Differences

Finished product. Very happy with this one cleans up the interior and removes the hideous overbearing stickers.

Ready to find a set for yourself? B9 mirror would be nice. I dont mind this one for the moment. I need to look more into the modification needed to the way it mounts. It does not sound plug and play in terms of that.

Do you have a link for the LED reverse lights? I have my windows tinted at 20% and am heavily relying on my backup camera when parking at my apartment... no street lights in the parking area :( Would you say they are much brighter than the OEM reverse lights?

They are the reverse lights from Deautokey. They help alot with tinted windows and they are EXTREMELY bright. My friend and I joke that they are brighter than his headlights on his E90 lol. They are that bright, highly recommended no error codes either.

    http://deautokey.com/product/audi-b6...or-free-bright

These are the ones you want. Maybe email them and make sure that is what they sell now. I got these about 2 years ago. The link I sent above says CREE LED which are the ones with projectors on them. I am not a fan of those. So send an email and double check.

Why not just remove the stickers? I've done it on other cars and it's pretty easy. You can still see a tiny bit of where they were but you can't really tell unless you look for it.

I tried it before on my B7. It leaves a noticable square where the sticker used to be. It might not bother some but I am OCD to the max and it would be worse than having the stickers.

Nice job on the visors! Mine actually have a clip that comes off the edge of the frame for the glass instead of the strap. The strap would have been a great place to hide an emergency $20 bill in the car. Under the ashtray works too, but this is a little more hidden. Who knew there were so many variants for visors...

Thanks again for the pointers. I saw a few of those as well with the clips while browsing. I figured these would be a lot more useful and look a bit cleaner IMO. Yes many variants, there is telescoping or non as well.

I knew about the telescoping option, but no way to tell from an eBay auction. It would have been nice to have, but can certainly live without it.

Absolutely, nothing I could see in the part numbers or ads that designated which were telescoping and which are not. Like you said something I can live without I don't see myself using that feature.

No chance to remove the telescoping rod from the OEM part and putting it in the euro part? May have to break it open I guess.

My Allroad didn't have this feature from the factory. I'd imagine the internals are different and don't see a way to take the visor apart.

From what I saw there is no way. Short of cutting open the actual visor it self which would not be ideal. I don't mind it at all though. If you are set on telescoping only the europrice option has the option to choose which you want.

My S4 had it but I didn't know until I went to install the euro ones. Def no way to swap it over with out destroying both visors. I wonder what the indicating marker is showing which is which.

    Wheel Cleaning

Much needed wash yesterday. Brakes pads are dusting like crazy this was a weeks worth of driving. If the previous owner hadn't just had them replaced before sale they would be gone.

    R8 Oil & Coolant Caps

Ordered R8 oil and coolant caps. Installed them but I was not happy at all with the way the coolant cap sat vertically. I had it that way a few days thinking it wouldn't bother me but it had to be changed. I ended up modifying the cap, initially i was a little wary of taking apart a $100+ cap but its perfect now.

After I modified it to sit horizontal.

Final product, very happy with how it came out.

Beautiful car. I really like the color and trim. What is the stuff you used to clean your wheels?
    Because S4 = Hooker
Both can be purchased for cheap, and after one night of reckless, risky fun, either can be found lifeless on the side of the road. Your family is disappointed and concerned once they find out you've picked one up. Not to mention you try to hide how much money you routinely give one from your significant other.

    Black Windshield Reservoir Cap

Replaced another cap, cleaning up the engine bay further. The windshield washer cap that came with the car was a light blue.

Whoa, that's awesome, how did you modify the coolant cap to sit horizontal? This would be big for B6/B7 people as well since it sits the same way (vertical) for us.

Where did you get those Ecodes?
The Ecodes were sourced from a seller on Ebay.de brand new in box. I will try and look for the seller.

Thank you. The cap has to be taken apart and some minor modifications performed when apart. I can throw some photos and instructions together if there is interest. I was unable to find anything online myself. When modified you cannot tell a difference physically from OEM. It just sits properly.

No difference in design on the vent. Previous owner used one of those phone mounts that go in the vent. Left alot of scratches that bothered me. Tried to purchase a vent second hand on ebay but it came with broken tabs and in about as bad condition as my previous one. Bit the bullet and went brand new from Audi. Very pricey but worth avoiding the headache of rolling the dice again on a used unit.

Bump for a local. Clean car man! Keep up the good work. I also picked mine up from Beaverton, since I could not find a decent one in my area with the specs/color I was looking for. I'm sure the tabs and registration tax was killer as well lol.

Appreciate that. Thank you sir! The local market for these is super bare. Not much to choose from! I actually got lucky and the local office where I registered made a clerical error. They said the car was worth alot less than I paid. I wasn't going to argue with them lol
