How many miles on your B6

I know this has probably been done. I just bought my b6 a few weeks back with 216k 3.0 6spd. runs amazing. Sold my B5 2.8 with 237k. Basiaclly hoping to see some high miles to make me feel good about my new baby . Bought completely stock from original owner was always garaged and maintained by dealer. I paid 1700 and pray I get 250k or above and I'll be very happy. Already started modding it next up is wheel bearing and axle replaced... Oh and timing belt soon blah

Right now I'm at around 156k.

Looks like a clean car for only $1700!

My 1.8 has 221k miles on it with a stage 2+. It runs great right now. I'm going to redo the vacuum system and also the injector harness next. The exterior of the car is dogshit though haha. But I have the interior in pristine condition with an a3 sport mfsw that's been rewrapped, b8 sport seats and symphony 2+. I'm a college kid with not a ton of money so I prefer some power and comfortability over the looks of the car.

Got a list of things I need to get to like the cam chain tensioner and an oil change but that'll happen whenever I have the time, so probably over Christmas break...

I was actually just outside in the dark replacing some of my vacuum lines lol. Yeah right after buying it I'm reading about the 02 3.0 cam lobe issues and am a little scared .but at 216k hopefully already happened and fixed or won't happen lol. i want to see some high mileage 02 3.0's

Car got a new head, thermostat, timing, water pump, PCV system at 300k. Should run strong for another 150k.

I wonder how it passes smog. I'm thinking of going Stage 1+ w/ 034 HFC but am not sure if it will pass.
Did Symphony II+ make it sound better?
I currently have the regular Symphony II and Bose speakers.

At 230k km with mine right now. Had it for just over a year and its been great to me so far, especially in the winters up here with the quattro.

I believe there is a newer style tensioner but this worked just fine. The water pump is a metal impeller made by HEPU

I'm in California, so to be honest I don't think mine will pass. I have a test pipe on so if they did visual it would fail. No check engine light though. But I'm pretty sure that even that HFC won't pass California emissions either. I'm either going the shady route or swap in a stock cat but I don't have one because mine was busted when I swapped it out.

The symphony 2+ does sound pretty great and I think it is a bit better quality than the II. Maybe even better if you add the Bose to it. The radio is very crisp though. Better than a lot of newer cars I've been in. I work at Dodge and it has better reception and clearness than a lot of their few year old cars. I don't listen to radio much though. I use a Bluetooth adapter and it does sound good but it's not 3.5mm jack quality.

I just did the timing belt on the 5spd, and it was the third option mentioned, without a hydraulic dampener, its just a roller. And the water pump impeller was not at all like OEM or other aftermarkets, but still metal. I went with the enhanced kit from Blau, even their website shows a normal impeller but it showed up like this:

I have 281,000 on my 03 3.0 6mt. Original clutch! I have over 20,000 towing miles, pulling a 3000lb travel trailer.

Mine gets beat up off road too, so the body is pretty lumpy, rock chips everywhere. I will be hard pressed to replace it when the time comes; nothing I've looked at even comes close to matching the fuel economy and power whilst towing.

multiple trips to burning man can't be good for it either!

Well, besides running on fumes!

307,000 kms (192k miles) on my 2005 1.8T and in-between issues, it has no issues.
In other words, 60% of the time, it works every time!

2003 B6 1.8T - Stage 1 tune only. Everything stock except the nut behind the wheel.

Currently 250K Km or 155K Miles. Runs strong and doesn't go through a drop of oil between changes if driven sanely. Otherwise it does drink a little bit of oil. No issues other than it needs a front end alignment. Will do that next spring since my old winter tires are being installed soon and I don't care much for those tires.

There was a ticking noise coming from the back of the engine while at idle, but it mostly subsided once the revs went over 1k. I took the valve cover off, and there were very faint grooves worn into the pads, and the unit as a whole isn't that pricey so I figured I would just replace the whole thing while I'm at it.

Just put in a new JHM lightweight flywheel combo from the stock setup.
