Reputable Black Badges?

Looking for either carbon fiber badges or gloss black. TAG is wildly expensive and I dont trust ebay or any 3rd party seller unless mentioned here incase the badge itself varies from OEM size...

(found a couple via search but the badges were for other models and were quite outdated)

I bought front and rear rings for my RS5 off of Ebay. Both turned out to be Audi OEM. The front grille rings were perfect while the rears were ever so slightly larger but still Audi OEM. They didn't list them as being OEM in the ad but for the price, I decided to roll the dice.

I bought OEM badges from Audi and had a body shop paint them in a color we chose to try and match the wheel color.
TAGs prices are off the chart, got the same result for less than half the price.

If I get an RS grille, I should probably have my front rings gloss black, yes? I'm going to eventually have a more matte finish on new set of shoes and I'm going black on window trim (matte is OEM I believe) so my V8 and other badges would be matte as well..

I’d say it depends on your personal preference. I’ve got the RS grill and this winter I’m planning to have my badges redone to match the carbon anthracite of my wheels. Of course my car is BB and I don’t want the badges to completely disappear but that’s just my taste.

I think a week or maybe 1.5 weeks. With the holiday, I am sure things are slowed down a bit. badges are great.

He does them in batches, so if he doesn't have any available at the time, it might be a couple weeks. He's pretty good about updating though.

I'm pretty sure they have an agreement with Audi. Thus the price increase. Audi doesn't like other companies selling their OEM parts.

They are worth the wait for the price. FedEx and UPS have been a mess the past couple weeks.

It's definitely not a quick thing, but it's better than TAG, I f'd mine up and he's working with me to help resolve that.

Thanks all. I'm trying to be patient / understanding and your confidence in him certainly helps. We exchanged more messages today and one of my packages is supposed to be delivered Monday, although I'm unable to verify my address is the one associated with the tracking number I was given. I wasn't provided a tracking number for second package, so who knows. (and why would one set of badges need to split into two shipments?)

That would make sense. However, I was told one package contained the front rings and rear S6, and the other package has the rear rings and front S6.

I asked again yesterday about a tracking number for the second shipment and didn’t get a response.

I mean, how "reputable" are we talking here? I ordered mine off eBay, they've been on the car for almost a year, and there's absolutely nothing wrong with them. They were like $15 and you'd never tell the difference between then and obscenely priced ones.

I know I'm buying reps. Question is to the guys spending $100+ from others claiming OEM.

As far as the measurements, most sellers have the dimensions listed down to the 100th of an inch. Again, just sharing my experience. I don't feel eBay has anything to do with luck, just due diligence.

My rings are exactly the same size as far as eye can tell, both front and rear. I agree with Game, in that paying $30-$40 for reputable eBay badges makes way more sense than "OE" badges from people who are selling them for $100+. Especially when honestly, they're probably selling you the exact same badges that I got from eBay, just in a rebranded box. Using a ruler, my badge set is the same height, width, and depth, in mm's as my OE set were.

The way I could tell they were OEM was the 3M adhesive to attach was perfect, the bags had proper "VAG" logos and stickers and didn't appear to be tampered, the measurements and thickness is right on.
