Just recently, my b9 started shutting the engine on and off even while I'm in dynamic mode. Anyone else experience this? It went a whole month without doing that.

Transmission must be in S. If transmission is in D, then the engine is not actually in Dynamic mode even if you have Drive Select in Dynamic mode. Engine auto on/off is active if transmission is in D and deactivated if transmission is put into S.

Strange. Entire time I've owned the car, I've kept it in D 99% of the time and it never used to do this. Was wondering if my driving behavior activated this. It is what it is I guess. Thanks for the input.

There are many parameters that factor into when it turns off the engine. Things like temperature, AC usage, how hard you step on the brakes when stopped etc. That latter one is an easy way to control it. Light touch on the brakes will keep the engine running, but if you step on the brakes firmly than it will turn it off if all other parameters line up.

Brake pedal pressure. Stop then release a little and it won't shut off.
