    Help rear window gets stuck

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
My 03 Convertibles tear window has been getting stuck on the middle black bar. When the I guess itís a regulator? Idk but when it reaches the little black bar it goes sideways and doesnít allow it go up. If you push the little white up the window will go up. Anyone know if there is a trick instead of replacing the whole thing?

    Some pics for reference

A place between here and there

Not many are familiar with convertible tops. That is why I assume the lack of replies.

You need a new window regulator no way around it.Sorry.Im pretty sure that white piece pulls the metal bracket up that attached to the window.Probably has a broken tab causing it to get sideways. The white piece should have a tab at the bottom where the cable comes in and also at the top.The tension of the cable against a tab/peg is what keeps it aligned.Check and see if the cable just jumped or broke the peg.

Itís actually just the passenger side rear window. Not the rear glass. I probably should have a little more specific lol

The medal bracket actually stays in place the whole time. I checked to the other window that functioning properly and the only difference is the one gets stuck lol. They both flip out when they get to the bracket. Itís just the one thatís getting stuck flips out a little to much. When it gets stuck it acts as if itís a safety, when someoneís hand is in the window.

Well the window is getting stuck because the clips is sideways and it shouldn't be not at the point anyways. So its probably missing a tab.If it cant get past because its wedged. It thinks theres a obstruction. This is called pinch protection. If it sees a amp draw on the motor higher than under normal operation it reverses polarity to the motor to prevent damage to the motor, and regulator.

no way around it.You need to remove the the rear interior panel in order to replace regulator.

So I went out today to put the window down to see if itíd fix itself but I only put it down about an inch and the white clip broke a little and now the cable is stretched on the one side but the windows up ( nock wood ) the white clip is now flimsy and can be pushed Either direction.

Iím a little worried about the stretched cable is this normal? Can I tighten it somehow?
