    2010 simultaneous issues?

    Hello all, purchased a 2010 S4 DSG (I know, I know) with 42,000 miles. Had one “gearbox malfunction continue driving warning” in the midst of the summer & read it could be triggered on super hot days, which it was. Unfortunately today it came back, in conjunction with a high idle (steady 1k rpm). Ironically the transmission engagement felt smoother than it has in months after the malfunction light/high idle. I parked and turned the car off then back on & the CEL was now on. Bizarre, taking the car to be looked at on Saturday. Any ideas what could cause this simultaneous event? Luckily if it’s anything major I’ve got the extended warranty for powertrain/transmission etc so I shouldn’t be looking at the 7k+ these issues sometimes end up costing. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated if you’ve had similar symptoms and what the outcome was.
