    Valve Covers

So I dropped my car off to get my valve cover gaskets replaced. They called me today to tell me that my covers are warped and I would need to replace them. Is there any place I can purchase valve covers for a decent price quickly? The shop quoted me at 1600$ for the covers alone. Any help would be appreciated.

how quick do you need them? Ebay typically has some for about 100 a piece. I will have an extra set in a few months, but you seem to need those now.

$1600!! That's crazy talk... Tell that shop to go shit in their hat.

Might want to consider the B6 VC's which are aluminum, not plastic like on the B7's. I believe the aluminum will not have the potential to warp like the plastic one's might. You should be able to find a decent used set on the forums or Ebay. Also, you can't powder coat the plastic ones if you ever wanted to do so.

B6 are aluminum, B7 are plastic and either will work on either platform.

FYI Aluminum warp quite often too. Iíve seen more aluminum ones warped than plastic. Actually OPs case is the first I heard about plastic ones going bad.
