    URO metal t-stat housing #

    Itís stock, a few people sell them in the classifieds used cheaper. Direct replacement.

    Thanks! I didn't realize URO was the stock OE supplier/manufacturer. Think I'll pick up a new one to install (along with TB install). Thanks again!

    They aren't, many of their parts are cheap Chinese knock offs, others are decent chinese knockoffs and some are overrun genuine/original parts they bought wholesale and brand as their own( many companies do this ).


    This is an instance where it is one of those overrun parts.

    Ah, go it. Thanks. Besides cost, does anyone know why Audi swapped the metal housing for composite? Ive read the latter is more prone to leaks, which is why I'm installing the URO on my 2001.

    You can just call it "metal housing". It's not in any way a "URO" housing. That's a genuine OE audi part.

    Might want to verify with that seller to make sure both the picture and the description are correct. The picture is an OEM stamped housing... but the description says URO. As mentioned, URO is not an OE supplier.
