    Hi all,

Totally new to Audis and this forum but I couldnt think of a better place to post!

I am looking to buy a 2011 S5. It's done 90k miles and has been involved in an accident. Serviced well with 1 owner but its the accident part that im really on the fence about. Below is a list of repair work carried out through insurance at a legit workshop. I'm in the US and the repairs cost about $8k. Should I buy or not?

What are they asking? Honestly, with that kind of mileage and accident and the fact youll probably have to spend $1800+ for a carbon cleaning within a year or so, it's not worth the investment. If you aren't keen on a V8 you can find a 2013-2014 for what you're going to be spending for half the mileage and a slight more increase in price and for more reliability and no accidents. All those repairs from an accident just look like a headache =/

thanks Spense. Its a 2011 89k miles 1 owner from new and price is $13k which i think is pretty darn good for a $67k new car.

I'm sure there are others out there with better history. Make sure you have access to all maintenance records

Itís really easy to go against your instincts when buying a car. But the list of parts that needed to be replaced due to the accident is quite extensive and probably the main reason this car is selling for $13K. There are other good deals to be had now that the B9 is out, my suggestion is be patient, look around and find a different S5.

If you're willing to risk $13K on a car that might eat up another $10K in repairs, I say go for it. However, there will be lots being traded in with the new sportback model being so successful.

I would rather wait, pay a little more for one that hasn't been in an accident, and then enjoy it even more. The costs on these cars add up quick.
