    No spitting (splitting) please.

All jokes aside, please purchase a manual that outlines the procedure for testing the AWN engine. These engines are unforgiving when chimpanzees ( Audi Techs) with sharp objects and sticks prod these manifolds. There are several systems that command and implement the operation of these manifolds. Not a usual DIY thing unless you are a seasoned tech. Common problem... shaft seizure due to warping.

So I finally got around to splitting my intake plenum. Job went slowly because I was feeling my way along without a manual (not covered in Bentley) or an internet DIY, but it turned out to be very straightforward. Pleased to see plastic flaps were not damaged.

One question for reassembly, does anyone know if that is an actual gasket between the plenum halves or just some kind of sealant?
