key-fob long click to close windows?

So I recently purchased a 18 S3 and I've really been enjoying the car thus far.

Only thing that bugs me is the key-fob. If you long click the open button it will roll all the windows down, but when I try the same for closing it doesn't do it.

My brother has the vagcom/thing you plug into the car and if its possible I'd like to get the code or how exactly I can put the same functionality on the close button that is currently present on the open button long click.

I have the same problem I used vagcom and activated the function but no luck my windows still roll down but not up with the key-fob but if I insert the key in the door lock and turn left holding it will roll up it weird I cannot find a solution

Yes same here if I long hold the touch sensor on the door to lock it the windows will roll up as well, only thing is if its raining i'm really not trying to go outside to close the windows.

Find it very strange they only have the option for them to go down... who thought that was a good idea?

The attorneys are the ones responsible for not being able to roll up the windows. There are some tweaks are some Vag com tweaks that are in the B8 forum that still pertain to the newer models.
Enable Remote Operation Windows and Sunroof
[46 - Cent. Conv.] [Coding - 07] -> [Long Coding Helper] Byte 2
Bit 2 - Set to 1
You still have to go into the MMI and select what you want to open and close with your fob.

This is definitely wrong. On the MQB cars, it's done with adaptations in 09. 46 hasn't been used for years.

I've had plenty of cars that will roll down the windows in this manner, but never up.

it works, but takes some screwing around - took me a while on my 15' to get it to work anyway.. there's like 3 places you have to set stuff in VAGCOM. Google on it you'll probably find the thread where somebody told me how to do it - I don't recall the exact steps off the top of my head.

Carista is a dongle / app that allows you to program your car like OBDEleven, but with a simple to use iOS app.

I think the OBD2 dongle is about $40us, and comes with 1 months of app. 1 year is another $40 or something.

+1 to Carista. Was super simple to set up on my 15 S3. Was a menu choice. I long click the lock button and it rolls everything up, and closes my roof if its open. Love it. Works as an OBD tool as well

I was able to do mine with OBD Eleven apps

Used OBDEleven. Had to roll windows up and down a few time to "reset" them after the applying app.

Awesome it works I did not have activated funk comfort scheleissen once I activated windows roll up with the fob thank you so much

Cool.. this stuff can be a pain sometimes, but fun to tweak just how you want it :)
