How long does it take for fuel to clear the lines? (ECA users)

I was just wondering, for people running an ECA to their P3 or other gauge, how long does it usually take for the ethanol to clear the fuel lines and get into the system where it can be measured? IE, you're on straight gas and add 3 gallons of E85 and 10 gallons of 91, how long until the ethanol is into the lines and being injected? A couple of minutes? 15?

It usually takes about a mile to see the content start to change then another mile or two for it to mix completely. This is using the fuel-it ECA but Iíd imagine itís the same for the P3 since itís a live reading.

When I put e85 in first (which I always do) it takes me at least 10-15 miles of highway driving for it to get down to the actual percentage. May be quicker on city streets? If I put 91 in first it's much quicker

Weird, Iíd think itís the opposite since youíre mixing the e85 when you add 91.

    So I've got about 2 minutes, 5-10, and 15. Maybe I should've done a poll. Lol

Iím gonna go ahead and say that those are all correct ;)

I have the Zeitronix ECA wired up to my P3 and I have seen it take as little as 5 minutes and as long as 20-30 minutes....thereís definitely a lot of variables in this equation....temperature, which fuel you put in first, what ECA you have, what kind of driving are you doing afterwards etc. so I donít think itís consistent

Reading between the lines, you're saying I need an ECA?

Definitely if I drive aggressive it updates much quicker but then I will for sure throw a lean code. Not really sure if that matters or not.
