    B9 S4 Build

Making a thread for my B9 S4 Build. The S4 is a big upgrade from my B8.5 A4 FWD. Had multiple Audis in the past. Never had a S though!
I was skeptical about the ZF 8 speed but I am a huge fan. Still getting used to the ZF shifting down to the lowest gear when you hold the shifter (or paddle) in the "-" position.

    2018 Premium Plus:
    Mythos Black
    S sport Package
    Black optic
    Carbon Atlas inlays

Sorry for the potato quality, it was sunset and I only had my iPhone.

Was heading out to dinner later that night. Dashboard lit up like a christmas tree. All of the lights disappeared when I drove back home from dinner. If anyone else had a similar issue with their brand new S4 please let me know.

    H&R VTF Kit
Installed these lowering springs on our shop Porsche 991 C4S. Was a huge fan of the VTF with PASM so I decided to get the same kit for my S4.

Car still is under 1000 miles. 40 more miles until I get to try out launch control.

Good looking build so far! Makes me miss a black car.

Also in for a review on the H&R VFT. How's the ride quality? Is dynamic pretty stiff? I probably wouldn't go as low as you are

The B8.5 was Ibis White! I do miss the white while I am washing the car!

I am going to raise the car just a tad. I installed the kit at 800 miles so I do not have much experience with the stock suspension. The car is one month old now to date.
Drive select modes still work which is awesome because the VTF retains the electronic dampers. Comfort and Dynamic feel a little more stiff than stock, not "bouncy" like my B8.5 felt with the H&R super sport drop.

I can help you with getting the VTF kit as well

This is funny! Washing a black vehicle is stressful, lol.

How much did you lower the car, did it affect the balance, or how did you managed to obtain stock weight balance?

Front went down 1.1. The rear went down 1.2.
We measured the car before the drop then went from there.

The car feels more planted than before. Have not done any hard canyon driving yet. The S4 is going to pass the 1000 mile mark on the way home.
    I will keep you updated.

I was looking at the same kit for when I buy my B9. I'm waiting a few more months till I find the perfect one and prices drop a tad. Plus the settlement I'm waiting on should be here by then and then its game on lol. Buying the car out right and first mods will be wheels/tires for summer, not sure what I take to go with, awe switchpath exhaust, and the VTF kit. How hard was the install and how low did you end up adjusting? Cant wait to see what APR has in store for a tune....

The first couple years for the B8 S4 was kind of quiet in terms of flashing. Hopefully APR comes out with something soon!
Planning on picking up the Fi exhaust next for my project! Just want to do a little more exterior mods first, picking up my black optic plate filler later today!

The VTF kit is awesome! The S4 feels more stable and planted now. (even with my stretched tire life)
I love how I ca raise/lower the car whenever I want. Planning on raising the car a tad this weekend to put on the new rubber for my wheels

Interested in how you like the VTF after owning them for a while now. I would appreciate any current side shots you have available. I am looking into these as well as the KW has. My two main concerns are factory damper longevity and a bouncy ride. Thanks.

Just becareful with the FI exhaust as there is a youtube video guy who bought one and it didnt even come close to fitting. He ended up sending back and bought and AWE exhaust.

You can search for the youtube video and see for yourself. His youtube name is .. NEMotoGuy.
