    Any ideas on ways to pursue this tune? I know it can be done as guys in the UK offer it and many customers there have the tune

    For those of us who have to deal with smog, how will these tunes play with smog testing?

    We do not disable or turn off any emissions devices or features. I know with our newer B8 and B8.5 S4s, we have people in CA that go through CA emissions with Stage 1, Stage 2 or even DP. When in doubt flash the OEM file and wait for all of the readiness monitors to reset and go in that way. Any time you flash you reset the readiness monitors and then need time and drive cylces to reset.

    Going to fit a Merc Racing heat exchanger (already have it, just have to work on fabbing up mounting brackets). While not a must do... it will help keep the power band consistent and at max HP/TQ throughout the RPM range.

    No TCU tune at this time, but that is something Chris and Tony can comment on...

    If all goes well, the plan is to bring the car back in October (cooler temps) with the new heat exchanger completed, new Fluid Damper pulley installed and try to complete a dual pulley tune upgrade.
    This is what I am waiting on. I also plan to get the Merc Racing Heat Exchanger and have the brackets fabricated up here locally. I would like to go EPL dual pully w/tune once available. Might look for another ECM so I can sell mine with the GIAC tune/calibration cable/sc pulley.

    The car that was pictured on the dyno was mine that put down 350awhp and 333ft/lb torque. That was on 85įF day and High Humidity on 93 octane. I have since put fresh plugs in and going to go to they dyno again in October for 100 octane and 93 octane pulls.

    Yes..it is the same coolant as through the radiator. The larger radiator will add coolant capacity and is also dual pass through.
