Anyone any experience in taking the joystick button off the mmi. Have a few sticky buttons thanks to a previous owner spilling a sugary drink. The button is on tight I was wondering is there a trick to it or just give it some brute strength.

I have taken apart the buttons before due to coffee spillage in a loaner. The touchpad/joystick/button comes apart from the rest, but is connected to a circuit board with a ribbon cable. Pull straight up on it and it should un-clip. Be carful though a new mmi control unit is +- $800

Will give it another go. Was it a really mad tug to get it off.
