    Hey Everyone,

I was looking into big brake kits and I didn't find any solutions that I liked besides the Macan turbo setup. But I want a bigger rotor, I don't plan on running 18's on my S5.

So I found this company that makes custom brake brackets and a bunch of other stuff. They already released brackets for the Audi S2 which uses a Macan Turbo caliper paired with a Brembo 375x36 disc.

I contacted them and they mentioned that they could make this kit for the the B8 S4/S5. But there's a min of 5 orders. I'm assuming the brackets would cost about $180-250.

    Parts list

    * I'm not sure if the calipers come with the sping clips, bleeder valve and/or brake tubes/transfer hoses.

Here are my other OEM BBK options.

Macan Turbo - 6pot Brembos with 360x36 rotors
I'm seriously considering this! Nice vented rotor design.
Labor labor labor! Steering knuckle needs to be swapped out, and the additional parts can get expensive as I would like to replace everything (Wheel bearing, ball joints, bolts, etc.). #OCD

    Pros
    - Directional vented rotors.
    - Affordable rotors and calipers!
    - Clears some 18" wheels.
    - Decent pad selection since this caliper can be found on the Panamera and I think the Cayenne.

    Cons
    - Needs the Macan turbo steering knuckle (Part is cheap, requires labor).
    - Rotor selection is very limited.
    - Rotor is all steel, and can be heavy.

    RS5/R8 - 8pot Brembo with 365x34 rotors
Love the rotors, but I hate the caliper.

    Pros
    - Direct fit!
    - Great pad selection.
    - Light weight rotors (23-24 pounds).

    Cons
    - 8pot is a over kill.
    - Heavy (15 pounds)
    - Caliper is ugly and outdated.

    RS7 - 6pot Brembos with 390x36 rotors
I love this kit, but replacement parts are expensive.
Won't clear some 19's, I want to get the TE37 Ultra in 19's and the fitment is unknown. These wheels Won't clear BMW M4 400mm ceramic brakes.

    Pros
    - Direct fit & beautiful.

    Cons
    - Rotors and calipers are $$$!
    - Rotors are huge and heavy (32 pounds).
    - Needs 20" wheels, some 19's may fit.

Q5/Macan base 4pot Brembos with Stock 345 rotors
Very basic.. I want a bigger rotors.

    Pros
    - Direct fit!
    - Cheap!

    Awesome!

Yeah the 345 looks tiny on my RS5 20's.

Have you seen the brakes on the new B9 S4/S5/RS5? The 6 Pot Akebono calipers. They look cleaner/mono-block, lighter, pre-painted(red/black) with the S badge. They're a tad bit more expensive.

I'm still doing some research on the performance and reliability. The G37 and 370 Use Akebono calipers and I've seen no complaints so far.

I'm thinking about changing the specs of this project to use that caliper. It already comes painted red or black with the S badge on it.

It's a tad bit more expansive but if it preforms the same and it's lighter. Then I would love to consider it.

The rotor options that I would consider is

    Maccan turbo 360x36 rotor
    $150 per side
    30 pounds?
    Can fit some 18's wheels.

    B9 RS5 375x36
    $550 side a
    29 pounds (I think)
May fit a few 18's but 19's would be a safer bet.

    Would you be interested?

I'd be interested in doing something like this, just can't see spending 6 bills on a rotor since, I daily my junkbox.. but def would love a better brake option..
