Need Purchase Advice for 03 Allroad

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Hello, looking at getting an 03 Allroad 6 speed with 86k miles on it. However they are asking 9k and it has some bondo work that is chipping/cracking on the rear passenger quarter panel. Car fax only says "Accident reported with another motor vehicle, It hit utility or light pole, Vehicle ran off road" Valve cover and timing belt has been done recently but I just have a feeling its not worth the 9k. Bags are solid. Everything works, allegedly. Other than a speaker cover on the rear driver sides is broken and needs to be replaced its pretty solid. What do you all think? Anything I am overlooking? Should I go for it? Wanted an Allroad for years now.

    Move if in wrong thread.

Feels a little high for no mods. I bought an 05, salvage title, 67k in 2013 for 13k CDN.

These are getting more rare, but $9k @ 83k seems high.

    Negotiate!

He will not budge on price. I tried. So I guess I'll keep looking else where, I do still have some other lowish mileage Allroads I am looking at.

Do you think it wouldn't be worth buying it and then having a body shop redo the work without bondo? I know it may be crazy expensive and not worth it but dang I want a low mileage and clean Allroad in the worst way!

if you so obsessed with this car, take it to reputable body shop for estimates and hopefully truthful explanation of how permanently they able to fix damage before it rusts thru. Also having Allroad for 5 years, and it is a mediocre car until you upgrade almost everything on it: sway bar, brakes, at least stage 2 tune, shifter, intercoolers, central diff and mounts to make it fun to drive.

Well its a toss up between an Allroad or there is a local A4 Avant 08 with 137K 2.0T 6 Speed w/ the s-line package with nearly everything done on it recently. Going to look at it tomorrow.

If you buy this, you don't have to pull the engine to do anything. Most service can be done in the car.

If he won't budge on price for the allroad, walk away. This deal is not good for you.
