The squarewave is an awesome entry level machine. I bought my AHP right when I graduated so I couldnít really afford anything else.

Looks like a beast. You arenít worried with the amount of heat that will be up top from the exhaust? Assuming you mocked it up and it will clear the firewall?

I did test fit everything (hence why itís only tacked). Iím going to do my best at heat management but we shall see the results. Honestly it couldnít be worse than a STK since my turbos are in a better spot. Everything is getting DEI wrap.

Very nice fab work. You think that clutch can handle the power though?

I think it will as long as Iím not doing tons of launches and no lift shift haha. I donít really do that anyways. If it doesnít hold Iíll swap over to a twin disk. I know that once the car is broken in that there will be things I want to change. The clutch setup might be one of them whether I like it or not.

Ironically thatís always been a dream of mine. Iíve been overly fascinated with automotive performance my whole life.

Then make it happen. You don't have to start big, but if this is the type and quality of work you can perform, it wouldn't be long before you are.
Twin turbo set up that fits under the hood will be sought after if the heat doesn't melt anything.

I think one of the big reasons Iíve always been deterred from doing this kind of stuff is people donít really want to pay for what these kind of kits cost. This one was $700 for all of the fab stuff alone. Not to mention the time that goes into making a tubular top mount kit and the welding supplies. I would most likely start with a more popular and easier to fabricate kit like the STK. People are paying $800 for just an up pipe right now for an STK which kinda steep in my opinion.

    I hear that.
Sorry if it was mentioned before, but where are you located?

Also, would you be interested in fabbing some stuff for me? I have no problem paying for quality.

This thread isn't dead, it's just poorly documented. Didn't you read the title?

I thought the same thing about the 6 puck I put in when I went the built motor route. Had to come out a month later because it couldn't hold. It would just be a buzzkill to pull it back apart after all this work you've put in.

Well maybe I should swap it now then :/ Iím not sure where your power levels are but I know Iím going to easily break 700 wheel on e85. Honestly if the block holds for a year Iíll be happy.

Nice work man. The orientation of the down pipes looks to be in point. The ones I bought doesn't even point straight back like yours.

One down, one to go. I have some flex joints on the way for the ends and then they will be done. Afterwards the engine goes in the car and I will be attempting the first start.

Hey check out this stuff from heatshield products, I think it would work well for your setup. We use a pretty similar product of turbine bleed air lines.

That actually looks pretty intriguing. Unfortunately I already have some DEI sitting in my garage. I may get it coated as well (I have a friend who does ceramic coating and other thermal management coatings).

Some other exciting news is that I have my first customer. I was asked to make an STK for a PTE setup featuring dual WGs. Without naming vendors, I guess he ordered a similar kit and just now got his money back from the ordeal. I cut him a deal since he will be my first customer this should be cake to fab since it uses 2.8 manifolds.

Without naming vendors? Everyone here knows that's wdr. Not trying to derail the thread at all, but seriously everyone here knows wdr makes promises they have no intention of keeping. 😊
