    Revs very fast. In manual it wont save you with a shift, but the limiter will.

    Steering is light, and the car turns in nicely. I have had oversteer, but not yet had understeer. Not gone fast enough i suppose yet.

    The sport exhaust in dynamic and the s tronic in sport, sounds fantastic. Half throttle doing 5k shifts is nice and yet not obnoxious to the bystandards. At 9k its pretty rude.

    Guttless everywhere but the fat midrange when comparing it to a tutbo 4 litre. Rev it and it does go fast.

    Its sprung very stiff. Slow speeds are crazy bumpy. I took air out of the tires. They Were set for max vehicle loading. Now im mid lv.

    Traction control is flashing a lot. For it to accelerate like the S8, there will be tire slip.

    Stereo is sub par. Seats are very comfy and supportive. Mmi is ace. Paint is soft, so easy to damage, and very quick to polish out. Go light.

    Brakes are wave rotors steel. Adequate

    Its really fun to drive anywhere. Im really enjoying it as a daily driver. It turns heads big time, unlike the S8.

    Drivers are really courteous around me. Its noticeable.

    Knowing what I know now, id actually pick the rws, unlike settling for one because I couldnt get a new plus. Its a great machine, and looks mature sporty. Plus is a bit more flash youth.

    Its noisey cruising at 80mph. Vs sedan. But tolerable.

    Great nav, no auto close doors, nice headlight range, very sweet cold start roar.

    Hard to see when changing lanes or backing up. Camera is rear only, so easy to park.

    Interior is not as nice as id like. No alcantara headliner, and no leather dash and sills.

    Ac works great. No cooled seats.

    To sum it up. After an intimidating first few drives, it feels like an old comfortable chair. Its very me now, and Id pick it again vs anything else. It brings back memories of 1992 in my hot rodded modded mr2 turbo, only better. Trackday in october incoming.

    Iím not surprised about the understeer comment, youíd need to have lost your mind to illicit it on the public roads. The track maybe a different story but odds are itíll handle better than any AWD thing short of a 918. I remember turning heads and all the attention my Stingray got back when they were brand new and harder to find in 2014. Itís be cool to pin the R8 against a 911 GT3 since youíre in that ballpark money wise and both are RWD.

    I would love to own an R8 sometime but I cannot figure out why the Torque is so ridiculously low?! And Torque is what moves you so i don't care about horsepower. Awesome car by-the-way, love it!

    We live in a world of forced induction. Its a heartbreaker to loose the torque for street driving, because reving 9 grand on the street attracts a ton of attention.

    The sound is extreme compared to a turbo car though, and if you drive it like a motorcycle, it makes big power. My S8 4.0 twin turbo is far easier to extract fun out of at normal revs, but it has no curb apeal. 50% throttle and 5.5k shifts on the paddle is a really nice outcome for onlookers. Not too obscene in volume, but very nice with a beautiful sound that drops jaws.

    There are times when it feels slow. Keeping it in drive auto, and it downshifts the right ammount to be fast. If your manual, it will be struggling at low rpm without a shift. It would be interesting to see just what kind of car it would be with a S8 plus motor in the rear. Same hp, but massive torque from idle. 911 turbo s, vs v10 plus comes to mind.
