After clicking it away, it was staying in the background and preventing clicks like mentioned above. The constant popups are preventing me from using the site. Today is bad, but yesterday I couldn't use the site at all due to this. I get the site is expensive to run, but I hope there is a middle ground with ads that works for you guys.
Attached are a couple screenshots; the second one showing the popup in the background.
Same boat here. I'm also using Chrome. The ad doesn't go away, and it is really interfering with how the site functions. Something similar happened with a Best Buy ad (I think it was Best Buy) a few months back. Sorry that I can't share screen shots, but Diokhan's screen shot is exactly what I'm seeing right now. There is no X button, but what looks like half of a little collapse button, hidden kind of behind the scroll bar, that sort of shrinks the ad a little bit. After a few seconds of being shrunk, it swells back up, grabs the screen for a bit, and then pops back into full size.
I had some success when I clicked the half-visible button a few times after collapsing it (it might become an X after you collapse it), and the ad finally went away. Having to interact with an ad like that is a bit much--it shouldn't hijack control of the site from users.
Edit: I think I made it angry! This time, before I could click the collapse button, it swelled to full screen and completely covered the page! Kill this thing, please. With fire.
