    Aftermarket engine mounts

Anyone installed aftermarket engine mounts? Apparently the C7 is notorious for early failures on OEM mounts. A very reputable shop told me 034s fit, and they're way less than
dealer costs. My concern is any increase in noise and cabin vibration.

Are we talking about the active chassis mounts?? I would be interested in digging into this a bit more since mine have passive codes in them already.

I don't know if these apply to the active engine mounts on the S6/S7...I'll install them on the A6 and report back.

I will do some research because on other cars the resistor method has been a way to get around troublesome electrical hard parts. By cutting the wires connected to the mount then splicing in some ohm resistor to trick the computer into thinking itís there. Will report back.

From the description these 034 mounts have "emulators". So no wiring resistors necessary for cars with active mounts. I have no idea if that's factual.
