I believe this is a product made by bruno (@brunopolo on instagram) he got a custom exhuast done by hotrodscott's in Toronto, everyone seemed to like the sound he achieved and started to copy his setup. Now he's decided to make his own exhaust.

Seems to sound nice from videos and those who've heard it. Cost savings is obvious (MIG welds and T409 stainless), but it's priced accordingly @ $1,395 shipped with downpipes.

I just noticed that it's only 2.25" (at least for part of it?), which is the same as stock and means 20% less cross-section than AWE's 2.5" piping. Not optimal.

I know a local guy who ordered one. Very interested to hear it in person. Sounds really good in videos, but not sure if it's enough to change from my AWE

I mean, the video does a decent job selling it. Who wouldn't want an exhaust that put a smile on your face the entire time and parallels a GTR sound in the upper band?

Can we talk about how the guy has owned 4 S4s in the last 8 years?

sounds pretty good btw. Be interested to know about the quality of the system, but 1300 for cat-backs is tempting

Ehh- some of the fastest s4s (Iím thinking loe/geoff) are still utilizing some form of stock piping / exhaust. I think the size debate on this platform is mute.

on that most end fabricated piece...

if that extra side pipe welded helps with sound, theirs a place local that does something very similar but does 3 pipes welded around the main pipe out for some very interesting sounding exhaust melodies on other cars. Let me see if i can find the site..

I had the opportunity to hear & See this in person at the Drive Auto Works Open house a couple of weeks ago. It definitely sounds great. I currently have a miltek valvesonic ( resonated) & the Polo exhaust sounds deeper, louder & throatier in a good way. IMO, the sound level is between the AWE touring & the track but has a deeper sound which I love.

A few people in the social media are complaining about the price but this system comes with the down pipe which the AWE does not. Also, I understand the skepticism about the long term build quality especially because itís new but it seems that the manufacturer is well experienced & Bruno will be around to support this. We are all enthusiasts here & we always look for better alternatives. Iím just glad Bruno has come out with another option for our S4ís.

This is actually making me consider selling my valvesonic system & getting this instead especially with the lunch promo going on right now.

Yeah, with that diameter, you are giving up some power at stage 1 (2.25 only supports 416bhp). However, 2.5" supports up to 513 (i.e. DP+ultracharged without race gas). Also, the x-pipe looks too far back- it should be as far forward as possible for optimal power.

On our cars an aftermarket exhaust will get you next to nothing in terms of additional power. The only thing it gives you is a change in sound and the only benefit you really get vs stock is less weight.

I don't know if that is true. I was posting this in a different thread... Exhaust provides gains if it:
    A) Is a shorter and/or straighter route to exit
    B) Has less obstructions (crush bends or cats etc)
    C) Provides an a better diameter of piping to support a particular power level
    D) Does a better job at smoothing exhaust pulses

AWE has demonstrated a 9 horsepower gain on a STOCK vehicle. I would venture to guess that the gains from the AWE are from the x-pipe (D), and maybe a little straighter shots through the mufflers (B). However, this is on a stock vehicle with 2.25" piping, which will support a max flow of 416 bhp. However, something making bigger power, like an Dual Pulley Ultracharged car on 104 octane, making 541 bhp is going to see significantly more of an increase, from what was seen from the stock 333 bhp.

I would love to see a before and after dyno of afore mentioned DP/UC car (preferably with headers or test pipes) car with stock exhaust, versus with the same AWE exhaust they used on the stock car, but don't think it exists. I have a strong suspicion it would be significantly more than the 9hp gain in seen is stock form.

Its been proven at the track. Many of the top runners used stock exhaust. Proof enough for me. No need to rehash it here. Most folks agree an exhaust in this car is not for performance. Might you net 5 or 10 hp? Maybe.

It may be proof enough for you, but some may not want to negate math and physics, in favor of what so-and-so did at the track where there are massive amounts of variables. If you can produce an equation that shows different then what is typically accepted, Iíd love to take a look at it. I am not saying it should make massive power, but I donít think 15-20 would be out of line....Also, Iím not mistaken Loe is seeing consistency in his low times and has a full exhaust.

You are mistaken... he has test pipes, sq5 h pipe and stock everything else.

Another member Geof killing it with 034 tune is on a modified stock exhaust.

This point of aftermarket exhaust creating immense power is just mute on this platform as proven by results. Itís not a bottleneck point for these cars, the bottleneck is the IAT and supercharger. Save the $1500 and get the blower and throttle body ported and you will see that 10-20hp your discussing.. not from going from a 2.25 to 2.5Ē exhaust.

This has definitely grabbed my attention. I'm wondering how this sounds on a DP car with test pipes. My Borla is too raspy and eventually want to change for something else.

I could be wrong, but I would guess Bruno is focusing on the sound, not on performance gains. Which for my money, is the biggest objective I have for an exhaust. I'm not racing my car for a living, so I'd choose a great sound over a few extra HP any day.

Genuinely curious as to how you got to these figures? Exhaust does sound good in the vid though and the price is fair

Absolutely agree. I'm definitely interested in this exhaust but still need to hear it w test pipes.

A while back, I actually found a detailed equation that really went through all of the factors and variables for calculating exhaust. Then, I found a calculator that was reasonably close to what the equation yielded. This is the site http://www.mk5cortinaestate.co.uk/calculator5.php
