Is it possible to turn off ESP in an Audi S5 4.2 AUTO?

Hey folks when I hold down the traction button I get an ASR off warning, but can't disable ESP even if I hold it down.
What caught my eye is that the button on my car doesn't say ESP on it, but only has an image.

My 2011 A5 had this button and so do the V8 S5s without drive select based on what I've seen:

This is what the button looks like:

I'm guessing having the drive select option removed the esp off button? Does that mean cars that come with drive select
    lose ESP?

No matter how long I hold down the button in my car I can only disable asr, but not esp.

I'm interested in this because supposedly, if you turn esp off you can rev past 4k when idle.

There is no esp off button per se. Holding the button should fully turn it off, if it isnt I dunno why.

All the information can be found in your owner's manual. Not all Audi models can turn off ESP completely, but the S5 can according to the manual. In the later models the button no longer says ESP off, instead it has the icon and off. ASR is part of the ESP. ASR is the traction control part. A short press of the button turns off ASR. In more recent models a short press activates ESP Sport, which allows more slip in general. Holding the button for at least 3 seconds turns off ESP completely.

Ahh okay so I guess that does fully turn it off then.

Does anyone know why the rev limiter still stays then? I tried and it still has it even with esp/asr off. Can the rev limiter be coded out with a vag com?

I've never heard anything about the rev limiter becoming disabled from turning off ESP. With a tune, yes, but not from the factory.
