    Hello Friends

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Saturday I bought a 2015 2.0 A3 just to rekindle the flame with Audi. Not sure how much the forums have changed since I sold my 1.8 B5 back in 2015 as I was involved in that section as well.

First upgrade I want is an intake. Looking to get some insight from others experiences. Open element, or a ďcoldĒ air? I like seeing the filter when I open the hood but performance is much more important so if anyone has some advice on which route to go that would be great.

Welcome back. Most folks will tell you that an intake won't net you much performance gain. Much better bang for the buck would be something like the jb4.

The afe and misimoto claim hp and torque gains of a little over 10 each I believe. The jb4 and jb1 are similar to a tune just plug and play right? From what Iíve read thatís my understanding.

I have a 034 Motorsport Intake which I really like. I also just got the JB4 and it was really easy plug in play. Highly recommend the JB4. I got this so that it didn't void any warranties as I can take it off easily on service.

Was there a noticeable difference between stock and the 034, and then another difference after the jb4? Also whatís the difference between jb1 and jb4. I see on their website it doesnít really specify.

I think there was a slight difference with the 034 Intake. When I launched with the intake alone I got my wheels to chirp. I didn't dyno it to make sure but they do show the gains on their website. The JB4 was a significant increase in power. Feels like a new car. The JB1 difference is that it is less HP gains because it doesn't tap into a wire that controls I believe is the fuel/air wire.

Yes, to initiate launch control you have to hold down the traction control button till it shows I believe "esc off". Then put it in sport mode "S". Hold the brake down firmly and then apply some gas. It will go up to 3k rpm's. Then let go and launch away.
