    BEWARE! Finishing touch

If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is! Just wanted to share my concerns regarding the "Finishing touch" offered with all new vehicles. I took delivery of my 18' S5 Sportback with magma red interior less than a week ago. During the negotiation process, the SA included audi care and the finishing touch as an added bonus for making the sale. I dropped off the vehicle yesterday morning and when I returned to pick it up in the evening, the interior was almost unrecognizable. It was wet, oily, and greasy in appearence, giving off an awful odor to match. Even the shade of the magma interior had changed, giving off a cheap look. Even other members of the service department seemed shocked that my service agent was expecting me to drive off in the vehicle. This is my 5th audi, and have never considered any of the packages offered during sale. I wont be making this mistake again.

Just wanted to warn anyone who might be picking their cars up in the coming weeks. The dealers current response: We will try to clean it up a bit.

If anyone has had similar experiences in the past, feel free to chime in.

Must be something local to your dealership -- mostly likely partnered with a local detail shop -- as I've never heard or been offer a "finishing touch" directly from Audi.

    Current: '18 S5 | SportBack | Prestige

Yeah, it's obviously not an Audi thing but rather some package the dealer sells themselves.
