Just installed 034 High Flow Cat on B9 A4

So far the sound gains haven’t added any unwanted rasp/higher pitched scream.

Now for the cool part, it has an immediate effect on response/power gain. It’s noticeably more aggressive with this installed.

Puzzling: No CEL after 20+ miles of driving with it, perhaps ECU cycle hasn’t picked it up yet? I’ll have a sound clip on Youtube and will share the link soon!

oh it showed up alright, and won’t go away lol. i constantly scan to make sure it’s the only code being surfaced. no other issues though

I have a noob question... is there a way to fix the CEL with the after-market exhaust? Also, I assume it doesn't effect warranty? Lastly, roughly what does that cost?

Stage 2 remap from 034 will take out the cel. nothing’s broken to fix it’s just a light.

It affects warranty on all parts replaced + any part that can fail/be directly affected by aftermarket. Doing a stage 2 you run the risk of TD1.

Cost is on the 034 website for the high flow cat it’s about 600

Rich unfortunately this is the quietest option on HFC, your next steps are test pipes lol

I've owned (3) Audis with HFC and stock exhaust systems. I personally am a fan of the little extra rumble it gives, but when not at Full throttle still sounds stock.

The APR stage 1 tune is supposed to code the CEL off for a HFC

I ended up getting the 034 HFC installed and the APR stage 1 tune flash doesn’t cause a CEL if you re flash it after. I don’t notice a huge sound difference on stock exhaust but I have the 034 cold air intake which is loud so it probably masks it, at least from within the cabin.

I wouldnt expect much in terms of sounds. Maybe only a little difference.

How does it feel tho? Do you feel the extra gains with the APR tune?

Some gains but nothing drastic, I didn’t pre and post dyno or anything.
The APR tune itself is such a large improvement that the minor mods don’t feel as significant.
No CEL which is great
