    Clear coat issue

I have a 2017 S3 that is garage kept with 2,600 miles. I wax the car every other month and keep it clean. I have 2 spots on the hood that are each 1/2 inch long. It almost looks like the clear coat is missing. I was able to capture one of the spots in a picture and have attached it. I have never had any other car have this issue before. Has anyone else had this occur?[IMG][/IMG]

Like a matte/flat spot? I recently got a spot on my left rocker panel that is the same. I assumed I caused it by brushing it with a dirty shoe getting out of the car. Washing and waxing does nothing.
I'm going to see what I can do with a bit more time and effort this weekend. I'll let you know if I fix it.

Have you tried compounding/polishing it? Looks like a defect in the clear coat. How does it feel?
