    AUDI has CHANGED CPO Program

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I was told today that Audi has implemented changes to the CPO program, already in effect...

NO LONGER 2 YEARS after factory warranty expires... NOW ONLY 1 YEAR!!! with unlimited mileage, instead of the 50K miles

CPO program made AUDI one of the best buys in my opinion,... now not so much

    Opinions???

I hope this is not a reflection of their quality. I know the turbos seem questionable on the S6's.

I think it is because mercedes and bmw both have the same CPO warranty. It is a shame because it was a great reason to buy a CPO Audi instead of the competition, especially with BMW offering 0.9% APR occasionally.

My experience thus far is that Audi's CPO far worst than BMW CPO.

My BMW CPO was 2 years and transferred with the car. IE, I bought the car from a person, not a dealer and the CPO warranty carried though to me no hassles, no paperwork. it just worked. Kinda like BMW actually believed their car deserved essentially a 6 year factory warranty.

I incorrectly assumed that Audi's CPO was the same. My recent car purchase I knew the car was CPO. What I learned later is that the CPO didn't transfer into my name. I had to fill out paperwork for that. NO problem I thought. Got the paperwork and read that it had to be filled out within 30 days of purchase. Nobody mentioned that to me, so I missed my deadline.... no CPO. So Audi doesn't actually warranty the car, they're just trying to entice people to buy a used Audi from an Audi dealership.

I'll take that it's on me to do the homework so I'm only putting this out there for future people consider an Audi CPO who think it might be like BMWs. Nope.

I'm a bit confused. My current CPO is 6 years / 100k miles from the original delivery date. Was the factory warranty 4 years / 50k miles from the original delivery date?

Are you now saying CPO are 5 years / unlimited miles from original delivery date?

This plays better for young cars with lots of miles, but otherwise not so much. I'm going to hit the 6 year mark way before I hit the 100k mark. And I sought out the CPO option when buying my car because of that reason.

I bought a CPO ‘14 S4 audi from private owner last spring. On the Audi site and the form itself it clearly states form must be submitted within 30 days of purchase. I was happy to buy a Audi with 68k miles and get another year warranty.
