I was looking for some more power but didnt want to go dual pulley (I track the car on road courses) so porting was the next logical step.
Luckily Matt is only 1.5 hours away from me in Niagara Falls and since I just couldnt make the time to go to him, he was nice enough to come up to my office to do the supercharger/throttle body swap for a reasonable price.
Since I had some time before I figured I would get a before and after dyno.
Contacted Eurocharged Canada who just installed a new Dynojet about 3 years ago and went for 3 pulls last Wednesday.
A really great shop that works on high end high hp vehicles. They are well known for their work on Mercedes (especially the C63), BMW, Audi, Porsche, Ferrari .
Did 3 pulls and highest power that day was 387 whp and 353 torque and it was 29C (84F).
Pretty good for GIAC Stage 2.
On Monday Matt came by and we swapped the superchargers.
He did a great job being careful during the install and we even had a look at the valves . They were fine. Not much buildup at all and didnt need a carbon cleaning.
Overall a real class act that cares more about the quality of his work than the quantity.
Each charger takes him roughly 8 hours and you can tell as every single area has been touched.
Having my stock and his ported side by side helped notice the difference.
He told me it may take a couple days for the car to adapt so today I went back for another dyno run at the same shop but it is 2C (4F) hotter today so I was a little worried.
First pull 405, then 409 whp not bad.
Let her sit for 20 minutes and did 2 more pulls.
412 and final was 417 whp!
As you can see from the chart I went from 387/353 to 417/376 with Mattys ported charger and throttle body.
And each pull (from last week and today) my IATs stayed stable at 43C (109F) so the PLM is doing its job.
For $800 (Canadian) + install its the best money Ive spent on this car since going Stage 2.
